I’m always on the lookout for more cozy games to add to my never-ending gaming backlog, and with the heat starting to really discourage me from venturing outside this summer season, Wholesome Games has us covered.
If you’re excited for the cutest and coziest game announcements of the year, Wholesome Direct 2023 is premiering on Saturday, June 10th, 2023 at 9am PT / 12pm ET on Twitch and YouTube, and it's the perfect kickoff for inevitably adding way too many games to your summer gaming backlog.
For those who are unfamiliar, Wholesome Direct is an annual showcase of wholesome (read: adorable, heartwarming, or otherwise uniquely-equipped to give you the warm and fuzzy feelings) games that are perfect for players who just want to chill and feel good. I enjoy my gritty action games and dark fantasy RPGs as much as the next gamer™, but there really is a special spot in my heart for cozy games as someone who loves her farming sims (shoutout to the original Harvest Moon: MFOMT on GBA).
